$14.49Grilled Chicken Salad
Crisp cold greens, strips of marinated chicken, jack cheese, egg, tomato, bacon, red onions and croutons.
The Texas Roadhouse salad menu runs two lanes. The $4.99 lane holds the House Salad (230 calories with egg, cheddar and croutons) and the Caesar, the sides people add to a steak. The entrée lane holds six full dinner salads from $14.49, topped with grilled chicken, fried Critters, salmon or sliced filet, and these eat like complete meals.
All eight salads are below with July 2026 prices and calories. Every dressing is made from scratch in-house, including the ranch that has copycat recipes all over the internet. Fair warning on the calorie column: a big salad at a steakhouse is not automatically the light choice, and the numbers down the page prove it.

The spread is wider than most people guess. The House Salad sits at 230 calories before dressing. The Grilled Chicken Salad, the lightest entrée option, is 810 with dressing. The Steakhouse Filet Salad reaches 1,340, more than a 16 oz sirloin dinner, because filet medallions, bleu cheese crumbles and fried onions add up fast.
To keep a salad actually light: order the grilled chicken or Critter Salad (690 calories, surprisingly moderate), ask for vinaigrette instead of ranch, and get dressing on the side. Doing all three saves 300 or more calories versus the default build. The full comparison lives on the nutrition calculator.
